meme time

Stole this one from Colleen. I"m a little dissapointed that they didn't include some country in the list. There were quite a few songs of that time that I liked. I have to admit to giggling at Colleen's list and being amazed at how many songs she hates that I absolutely love. hehe

The rules:
A.) Go to Music Outfitters
B.) Enter the year you graduated from high school in the search function and get the list of 100 most popular songs of that year
C.) Bold the songs you like, strike through the ones you hate and underline your favorite. Do nothing to the ones you don’t remember (or don’t care about)

I've been tagged.

No, I didn't forget that Susie tagged me the other day. I've just been tired. Not that that has changed.

‘The 7 Weird Things About Me’ meme

So, here are the rules.
1. Link to your tagger and post rules
2. Share 7 facts about yourself, some random and some weird
3. Tag 7 people at the end of post and list their names
4. Let them know they were tagged by a comment on their blog

Oh the pressure to whittle it down to only 7 weird things. lol

1. Apparently, I'm unable to sleep on Tuesday nights. Yup last night was another night of getting up and laying down repeatedly. Had a horrible tummy ache and finally had to throw up. Looked at the clock afterwards and it was 2am. Tossed and turned like crazy the rest of the night.

2. I can't feel heat, cold or surface pain in my left leg or part of my torso. I have massive nerve damage from a car accident almost 14 years ago. I have learned how to tell the difference between hot and cold water with my left leg though. It tingles differently.

3. The book of checks I'm currently using is over 10 years old. lol Am finally ready to order a new box though. lmao

4. I've read nearly every single book written by Stephen King. I own just about all of them too. Some in both hardback and paperback.

5. I love heavy metal music. Current favorites are Disturbed and Korn. But I also listen to boy bands. :-O Much prefer the heavy stuff though. lol

6. I have no fewer than 15 UFOs right now. That doesn't even count the half started self designed lace that is laying all over my house.

7. I'm the oldest of 8 kids but have only ever lived with one of my brothers. And no I'm not that much older than the rest of them. lol We are all grown and on our own now.

And now to break the rules. I hate tagging people. If you are reading this, consider yourself tagged. If you wanna be that is. LOL

Now I'm off to make some phone calls and see if I can keep some food down.

Blame La

La posted an interesting little meme today.

Go to Wikipedia and type in your birthday month and day only. Then post three events, two births and one holiday that occurred on your birthday, then tag 5 friends.

3 Events:
  • 1897 - Dracula, a novel by Irish author Bram Stoker is published.
  • 1953 - Jackie Cochran becomes the first woman to break the sound barrier (she flew in a F-86 Sabrejet at an average speed of 652.337 miles per hour (1049.835 km/h) at Rogers Dry Lake, California).
  • 1980 Mount St. Helens eruption: Mount St. Helens erupts in Washington, killing 57 people and causing $3 billion in damage.
2 Births:
  • 1868 - Nikolai Aleksandrovich Romanov, Nicholas II, Last Emperor of Russia (d. 1918)
  • 1912 - Perry Como, American singer (d. 2001)
1 Holiday:
  • Festival of the god Pan in Ancient Greece
I chose the eruption of Mt. St. Helens because I distinctly remember it happening. For reasons that still defy me, I felt so guilty. Here it was my 8th birthday and I felt guilty because a volcano decided to erupt and kill 57 people.

For the births I had to chose the Czar of Russia. I've always had a fascination with his family and specifically his youngest daughter, Anastasia. I've long held that if I ever have a daughter, that will be her name. Anastasia Corrine. And I had to chose Perry Como, cause come on.. He is Perry Fucking Como. hehehehe

Participate if ya like. If ya don't, then just call me a lemming. :OP

I've been tagged

Oh gee thanks Shelly. I'm not sure I'm quite interesting enough for this one. lol

7 Random Things

The Rules:
Each person tagged gives seven random facts about themselves. Those tagged need to write in their blogs seven facts, as well as the rules of the game. You need to tag seven others and list their names on your blog. You have to leave those you plan on tagging a note in their comments so they know that they have been tagged and need to read your blog.

1. OK, weird one first. I have 11 fingers. OK, so the extra finger looks more like a large smooth wart or something, but it is in fact a finger. It's on the side of my left pinkie. Right at the base of my finger. I loved showing that to the guy in high school that said that people are perfectly symmetrical. Yeah, he was a dipshit.

2. I wear a size 12 wide shoe. This is why I usually wear guy's tennis shoes. I very rarely wear women's shoes. I'm afraid if I wear women's shoes, I'll end up looking like a transvestite.

3. I'm one class shy of a degree in Internet Administration. I have a passion for web design, but I just don't get marketing. Someday, I'll find someone that understands it and have them tutor me so I can take the class over.

4. I've been engaged 3 times. Married 0 times. After the last close call, I swore off men. I only know one nice guy. Unfortunately, he is my lil brother. LOL

5. I'm a Sci-Fi nut. I've always loved Issac Asimov. I've read loads of his books. I even have his autobiography that was published by his wife after his death. I read Wil Wheaton's blog religiously. Always thought he was hot on ST:TNG.

6. I believe in aliens. Come on, we can't be the only intelligent life in the whole universe. If we are, it is one hell of a waste of space.

7. I can't cook. Well not normal food. Mom refused to teach me how to cook when I was a kid. She always said that her mom didn't teach her, so I was on my own. 95% of what I eat at home is cooked in a microwave. I do however on occasion make up my own recipes. It's sort of hit or miss on if it ends up edible.

Ok, since not many read this blog and I'm pretty sure the ones that do have already done this meme, I'm not tagging anyone.

If you want to give it a shot, go for it. Now, I'm off to eat my latest concoction. Wish me luck.
