Sweater picture

Ok, here is a picture of Nick's sweater so y'all can see the colors.



I'm up to the second dark blue stripe. The neck shaping is in the black stripe after that. So, the back is almost done. I'm probably going to have to do the edging around the neck and button bands in Red Heart yarn. It would seem that Caron in all their wisdom discontinued Sayelle yarn. I've searched everywhere for a skein of the white. I've found a few other colors on eBay but not the one I need. sigh I'm going to put out an ISO for a skein of it on one of the knitting groups I'm in. I doubt anyone will have it though. sniff sniff

Oh well. The color of the two yarns is the same and the weight is almost identical. The Sayelle has a much tighter twist though. It feels much more dense than the RH. But then again, this is a play sweater for a 6 yr old boy. I'm sure he will kill it within a month or two. hehe
